Nathan's Growth

   Today little man had a doctors appointment to check on how well he is growing. When we left Ks to move to TX Nathan was about 16 pounds. Now that we are back in Ks, we had Nathan's one year check up. Well Dr. D said according to his records from before we left that Nathan hadn't grown every much. So he scheduled a fallow up to today (1 month after his one year check up)
  
   Nathan was a BIG baby. He was 8 pounds and 9 ounces. Now think of that being squeezed out of my little body. Wow, for those that haven't met me in real life I'm small. I'm only 5 foot and about 95 pounds. So every one was shocked when I had a 8 pound baby and didn't need a c-section. Nathan has always been about 50th percentile in the growth category. Well since we moved back to Ks he has been around the 10th percentile.

   Today we found out that Nathan is kinda at a stand still for growth. He is little. He weighs 18 pounds and is 17 inches long. Daniel and I aren't that big either though. What my biggest fear is that Nathan will do what I did when I was his age. I completely stopped growing when I was about age one. The doctors wanted to put me on shots to help my growth but my loving amazing parents where dead against it! (Thank goodness!) I still have memories from when I was younger and they would take xrays of my hand to chart my growth.

    So we have to go see Dr. D again next month, to see how much Nathan has grown. So far in a month he has only gained a few ounces. To me that is crazy because the kid sure can eat! I just want my baby to be normal and not have to be picked on all they time like I did about how short he is.
