I was shocked and so was Daniel. We weren't really "trying" but we weren't preventing it either. We were getting ready to join the Air Force and having a baby put the breaks on that one!
I told Daniel in a well...special way lol. Not the way I had dreamed it. The way I wanted to tell him was to go and buy an peice of cute baby clothes and show it to him and just hope that he got it, but thats not how it happened lol. Here's the story...
I had gone to by best friends baby shower earlier that day and on my way home I picked up the test. I told Daniel I had gotten a pregnancy test but I didnt take it right then. I waited until he left the house and took it. Now if you really know me I'm not a patient person! I didnt wait the whole 5 minutes like you are supposed to. I just waited long enough for one line to show up and it was a negitive line.
So I left the test on the bathroom counter and waited for Daniel to come home. He came over to me (i was on the computer) and I told him he can stop bugging me about being pregnant because I wasnt. He asked if I took the test and I told him yes and it was on the bathroom counter if he wanted to go and look. So he did and he comes back into the living room and goes but baby theres two lines! I turn around and stare at him in disbeliefe. I just kept saying "no" over and over because I couldn't believe it. He then picked me up and spun me around and we started to spread the word that we were going to have a baby.

7
weeks pregnant
When I found out I was pregnant I was 7 weeks along. I didnt get into the doctor until I was 12 weeks pregnant. They had to do a ulra sound to make sure I was in fact pregnant. When our baby popped up on the screen all I could do was cry from happiness. I couldn't believe that there was a little human in me that I was growing and someday I would be taking care of.
my first trimester of my pregnancy was easier than most but I still had my ups and downs. I was sick 1-2 times a week and was always tired. Daniel got so mad at me for sleeping all the time before we knew I was pregnant. I would fall asleep on the couch at 7 pm and sleep through the night. I lost alot of weight in the 1st trimester because I just couldnt eat. I had to eat little things through out the day.

The 2nd trimester was better I started to feel the baby move, I was still really tired but the morning sickness went away. Feb 1st IT'S A BOY!!! We decided his name would be Nathan Estes.
The 3rd trimester, now the fun begins! I started to get pretty uncomfertable, my hips would grind when I walked laying down got pretty hard. Daniel would have to help me up. Nathan had gotten so big by the end that when he could move too much it would hurt so bad that I would cry. For most of the 3rd trimester he had already dropped my doctor didnt think I would make it to my due date because his head was so low and I could feel that it was really low. I had alot of Braxton Hicks (fake contractions) and they got more intense but never turned into labor. My due date came and went and I was still pregnant. When I turned 41 weeks I was admitted into the hospital to be induced. Here is my Labor and

41 weeks
Delievery Story-
Nathan’s Birth Story
7:00 pm we got to the hospital to be induced. They put us in a room to get me hooked up to the machines and get the IV started. I cried like a baby when they did the IV not because of pain but because I didn’t know what to expect. The nurse had to do it twice because she thought she had hurt me. Daniel held my hand and talked to me though the whole thing and Sara rubbed my feet. We finally got moved into a bigger room that we would stay in until after Nathan is born. Sara and Dale came by and so did Cathy and Bill. Kate dropped by to drop off her cell phone for us so that way we could keep my parents up to date. The cervadil was put in about 9:00 pm and will be taken out at 5:00 am and the poticen will be started at 6 along with my meds for GBS (group B strep). I don’t think I will get very much sleep tonight because the IV is pretty uncomfortable.
I got like an hour of sleep because contractions started about 2:20am. I will say it is not easy sleeping with an IV in and the heartbeat in the background and some kind of noise coming from outside! At 5 o’clock am they take the cervadil out and I was already contracting on my own having gone into labor during the night. So I got in the tub for an hour with the jets on. They started poticen at 6 am along with my meds. The piticen made me really sick because the contractions got a lot worse and I started to throw up which messed with my contractions. So I got the epidural at about 8 am and couldn’t feel a thing! I decided to get some sleep and when I finally fell asleep that is when my water decided it was a good time to break! Lol
Nathan finally made it into this world Friday July 16th 2010. At 8 lbs 9 ounces and 20 inches long. I pushed for over 2 hours and had to have the doctors help in delivering him. They put him straight on my chest after he was born. Then I went in and out of consciousness all day until midnight so I don’t remember much. Daniel took care of Nathan and I would wake up to feed him but then crash again. Nathan is pretty good at nursing it just takes a lot to get him to latch. He is perfect in every way and a very big baby! No one thought he would be 8 lbs! Not even the doctor! We get to go home tomorrow and it will be the beginning of a whole new world for our little family!

Now Nathan is 8 weeks old. He can smile and has started to giggle. He holds his little head up and is the pride and joy of both Daniel and I! We cant wait to have more kids and we probably wont wait that long!
