We got the call!

On Friday I got a call from Daniel's recruiter, he got a job! He is going to be a computer programmer!  He ships out right after Christmas for basic! We are beyond thrilled! We get Daniel for Christmas and he will be back in time for my birthday.

Daniel is nervous but excited. He keeps syking himself out thinking that he will fail and be kicked out because computer programming wasn't on his list of choice jobs. I keep telling him that he took the ASAVB for a reason and they wont give him a job that he can't do!

Me on the other hand is kinda a different story. I was literally jumping for joy when the recruiter told me. Now it is really hitting me that I'm loosing my husband for 3 months and I will only get to really see him for 3 days when he graduates from basic. I know that this is good preparation for when he gets deployed, and that 3 months is nothing to what other people have been separated for,  but I'm going to miss him and so is Nathan. I guess I should get used to putting little man to bed by myself and everything.

One of the best things that this means is soon we will finally be able to have our second baby! When Daniel and I got married 2 years ago we knew we wanted to have a big family and to have our babies close in age. If we didn't have this goal then I would already probably be pregnant by now. Nathan will be 2 years old by the time we have the next baby. I know that a 2 year gap between children is normal but I was kinda hoping for 2 under 2 (crazy I know!). I know that everything will fall into place when it is time. I'm just not a patient person!

We have 20 weeks left with Daniel. 20 weeks to make sure that he gets to spend as much time as he wants with the computer and Nathan and I. 20 weeks to prepare ourselves for our whole lives to completely change. 20 weeks to be the family that we know and love, and 20 weeks to learn all we can about what kind of changes we are about to face. Here is to 20 weeks, may they go fast but not so fast that we get whip lash!

In the words of our recruiter, "Welcome to the United States Air Force!"
