As alot of people know Daniel is joining the Air Force. We were going to do it here in Fort Worth because that is where we are living right now, but that was a no go. Since we were both enlisting when I got pregnant and I made Daniel back out the recuiter's here wouldn't even look at Daniel because they spent so much money on him the first time to get him though MEPS and everthing that they didnt want to risk him changing his mind again.
Well we contacted our old recuiter's office back in Whichita and Sgt Maroe wasnt there anymore but the Sgt that replaced her is a pretty awesome guy and listened to our story and is willing to work with us! it turns out he had the same situation that Daniel and I were in. he got his wife pregnant and had to back out and then tried to reenlist again. Daniel has some weight to loose which he should get off pretty fast because he is superman!
Then he will go to MEPS and get weighed in and ok'ed to join. As soon as one of the jobs he listed gets opened up he will go off to basic. basic is 8 weeks long and then from there he will have to go to a school to learn his job which can be anywhere from 4-6 weeks, if it is any longer then that then the Air Force will relocate Nathan and I so our family can be together again!
We are excited and nervous, its going to suck being away from each other for so long but it will be worth it in the end. Nathan will have health insurance and when Daniel gets done with basic and school we can have baby #2! Something we have wanted to do since Nathan was 6 months old.
While Daniel is in basic I will be comming back to live with my parents so that they can have so more Nathan time. We havent decided where Daniel is going to be stationed, really it is up to the Air Force but we have agreed if we get the oppertunity to go abroud then we will. We wont get that chance without the Air Force and I would like to do it while we still have little ones that way they dont set too many roots and have to build everything back up. I cant wait to see what the future holds and to be a Air Force wife. Being a Air Force wife is almost as good as actually being in the Air Force myself!
